Law Work Experience and Careers Day - Saturday April 11th 2026- Online
Online
11am - 4pm BST
Join us for a dedicated Law Work Experience & Careers Day designed to give you real insight into the legal profession.
The day begins with an in-depth look at careers in law. You’ll explore the wide range of specialisms available — from employment and family law to intellectual property, commercial law and beyond. You’ll also hear directly from practising solicitors at leading law firms, gaining honest insight into what a career in law truly involves day to day.
We’ll spend time mapping out your pathway into the profession, including subject choices at school, university options, and the steps required to secure a competitive place at law school. You’ll gain a clear understanding of what makes a strong applicant and how to begin building your profile early.
In the afternoon, you’ll take part in structured virtual legal work experience. You’ll analyse a commercial case study involving a real-world merger and advise a client on key considerations. Later, you’ll work through an interactive criminal law scenario to assess whether the legal test for murder has been met.
These sessions are designed to develop your analytical thinking, argument construction, and public speaking skills — while giving you practical examples you can reference in applications and interviews.
By the end of the day, you’ll understand both the theory behind applying to law and the practical realities of working in the field — leaving you with greater clarity, confidence and meaningful experience to support your future applications.
