The perfect start to your future career.

Where it began.

It's difficult to narrow down your career options when you're young, but at the same time you feel pressured into choosing the right GCSE's, Highers or A-levels for a career you may not have even realised you were interested in yet. Career Days was founded to offer students an insight into various different careers to help students make informed decisions about their futures. With online events taking place on weekends throughout the year, there's sure to be a career day for you.

CareerDays.co.uk was founded by former teachers who often came across students unsure of which career to go into. Career advice plays a big part in a students school life but we found many students often had no idea what career they wanted and were ill equipped to make that decision without experiencing each one beforehand.

Many of our students would, for example, decide that they were interested in medicine but had no idea of the intricacies involved in applying or even if their skillset matched a job in the field. Similarly we've had students from an early age determined to go into a career without having gained any work experience of it to ascertain if it actually might be for them.

We started in 2014 by running online medicine work experience days and since then we've grown to incorporate several other careers that students would benefit from gaining work experience in and learning about, to help make their decisions easier when it comes to choosing a potential career. We have set about forging relationships with key industry figures and today have an extensive network of professionals that we can call upon to help run our courses and offer the best advice and advantage to our students.

We formed CareerDays.co.uk to offer students the chance to experience a career that may be of interest and give them an honest insight into the field so they can decide to commit to it or to look into alternate careers. Either way offering some valuable information to them in order to help them make the right career choices.

How it works.

It's very simple really. We offer several careers and work experience days all hosted online in different potential careers such as Medicine, Business, Midwifery, Veterinary careers and many more.

Students simply choose the subject and date they wish to attend and can sign up to their chosen day online.

Once a student has booked their place we'll send them an email with all of the joining instructions they need for the course and then they just log in using their unique details when the course starts.

Each career day will offer a morning session covering the career in question, job prospects, financial remuneration, subjects to take at school and how to secure a place in university to study it. These sessions are led by industry experts in their fields and are vital to helping a student decide whether to pursue it as their career or not. The afternoon session is a practical, hands on session where students can gain work experience of the chosen career so that they gain more understanding of it and also have some excellent material to use in their applications for university should they decide it's the future career for them.

All courses also include a live Q&A giving students the chance to ask the experts any questions they have about the application process or career of their choice.

Why should you join?

By joining one of our career and work experience days you will arm yourself with all the information you need to fully decide if you wish to pursue your chosen interest as a career. It will enable you to choose your GCSE or A-level subjects with confidence, knowing the end goal of the career you wish to achieve.

Our days are informative, fun and educational. We have leading experts in their fields who will provide you with some great work experience and offer you an overview of your chosen career so you will know exactly what you need to do to study it at university and make a success of it.

The work experience sections will enable you to gain an insight into the realities of working in your chosen field. For many this will confirm your decision to want to go into the career, for others it may result in you looking into alternative careers. Either way, it's a valuable thing to have when it comes to your applications and interviews at university. Having some relevant work experience to use is imperative in securing your place in competitive degree courses. If you have glimpsed into the realities of a career, you can talk with confidence that you do truly wish to study it at university, and that is one of the most important things you can have to secure that university place.

We are CareerDays.co.uk and we hope to see you soon on one of our courses.
