Psychology Work Experience & Careers Day
Online
11am - 4pm GMT
The morning session of your psychology careers day focuses on what you need to do to secure a place at university and the different careers it can open up for you. Led by an industry expert, we start off by examining where a psychology degree can take you. Psychology straddles the middle of both scientific and arts careers so it’s a really good, well rounded choice when it comes to a degree. You may find yourself post university entering a career in clinical psychology but you could just as easily end up deciding your understanding of the mind and human behaviour would be better suited in something like journalism or law.
We’ll discuss the various career options with you, mapping out routes into each one before we move onto how to secure a place at university to study psychology.
After lunch your afternoon session is dedicated to gaining some psychology work experience.
You’ll spend time gaining practical skills and tips to get ahead in the field of Psychology followed by a live Q&A session.
The aim of the day is to leave you with all of the information you need to apply to Psychology at university as well as some great Psychology work experience to aid you in these applications.

Your Midwifery careers day sets out in the morning to prepare students for careers in midwifery. Our midwife will explain exactly how midwifery courses work and the grades and work experience you need to secure a place. We’ll explain all about the profession and all of the do’s and don’ts required for the midwifery personal statement.
In the afternoon, it’s time to learn some of the techniques they employ everyday. This is a wonderful opportunity to get some experience of midwifery under your belt to aid you in your applications and interviews for midwifery.
It’s our aim that by the end of the day you’ll have all the knowledge you’ll need to get through your applications and also have some meaningful midwifery work experience to use too.
