Performing Arts Work Experience & Careers Day

Immediately, when thinking of careers in performing arts, acting, singing and musical theatre springs to mind but studying a degree in performing arts can lead to many different roles within the industry too. On our online performing arts career day you’ll learn all about the profession, the job roles available to you, how to get a place at university, how to secure a top job at the end of it and also get some hands on work experience too.

Performing Arts : HOW TO APPLY SUCCESSFULLY - THE MORNING

In the morning session we’ll focus on everything you need to do in order to study performing arts at university, from your applications to subject choices at school and grades to obtaining work experience, by the end of the session you should have an understanding of everything you will need to do in order to get a place at university.

We’ll also cover all the various career roles a degree in performing arts can lead to, expanding your understanding of the career and hopefully introducing you to some other options you could consider.

Performing Arts WORK EXPERIENCE - THE AFTERNOON

In the afternoon we’ll concentrate on giving you some meaningful work experience that you can use in your applications to university.

The industry is fiercely competitive and employs large numbers of highly qualified people. Roles in the sector are diverse, not all are performance related and most are drawing in people with a range of qualifications, skills and experience.

In your afternoon session you’ll be encouraged to explore the arts as a creator, audience member and educator using video tutorials and at the end of the day you’ll receive a certificate that you can use in your applications too.

It’s our aim that by the end of the day you’ll have a better understanding of how the industry works, know what you need to do for a successful application and have some great material to use in your applications to help you secure a place.
