Our Veterinary Work Experience & Careers Day is delivered by practising vets and current veterinary medicine students, giving you real insight into the profession.

During the morning session, you’ll learn everything you need to know about applying to study veterinary medicine at university. We cover entry requirements, choosing the right universities, personal statements, interviews, and how to build a competitive application — so you leave with a clear plan of action.

In the afternoon, you’ll take part in a structured virtual work experience session. You’ll explore animal biology, clinical examinations, and history taking, developing knowledge and examples you can confidently reference in applications and interviews.

The day concludes with a live Q&A session, where you can ask our speakers anything about studying veterinary medicine and becoming a vet.
