TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Please read the following general Terms and Conditions (these “T&Cs” or “Agreement”) carefully before accessing the Careers Days website (the “Site” and before submitting an an application to enrol on one of our programmes.

By accessing this website an applying to our programme, you (1) signify your irrevocable acceptance of these general T&Cs and (2) represent that you are either of legal age or possess legal parental or guardian consent to agree to these T&Cs. These T&Cs apply to all visitors or users of the site (together “Users”), including participants in any contest, competition or promotion (“Promotion”) and those who are otherwise contributors of travel applications, entries, opinions or other expressive content, information or services on the Site.

We reserve the right to add, change, modify, suspend or discontinue any portion of the website or the services offered at any time. We may also impose limits on certain services or features or restrict your access to parts of the website or to the entire website in our sole and absolute discretion and without notice or liability to anyone.

2) Eligibility: All Users must be Fourteen (14) years or older when they commence a Career Days programme unless specifically agreed otherwise. If under 18, possess the necessary legal parental or guardian consent.  If eighteen (18) years of age or older no parental consent is necessary.

3) Career day programmes: The website provides its users with access to a variety of Services, including but not limited to submitting an application for participation in an online careers day which is hosted within the UK.

Career Days does not conduct any type of background checks on its students.  However we reserve the right to conduct a criminal background check at any time using available records.

Amendments, Cancellations and Curtailment.

Amendments or cancellations may be notified to the UK office by email so they are confirmed in writing.

Our charge for an amendment is normally £25 plus any costs incurred by us. If the total cost is going to exceed £40, we will provide you with a quotation before proceeding.

Cancellation and curtailment charges depend on how far in advance of your stated event date we have been informed in writing.

a) Notice of more than 14 days before a course starts: £25 Charge

b) Notice of less than 14 days before a course starts: No refund

Application Fee: Except as otherwise provided on the Site with respect to returning Users, applications are not accepted or reviewed absent the payment of an Application fee (“Application Fee”). The Application Fee, including any rules and conditions associated with the Application Fee, is explained to you during the Application submission process. The Application Fee is a processing and administrative fee associated with your application for participation in any of our programmes.

Complaints & Disciplinary Procedures.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION: If a dispute arises between you and us, our goal is to provide you with a neutral and cost effective means of resolving the dispute quickly. Accordingly, you and us agree that we will resolve any claim or controversy at law or equity that arises out of this Agreement or our Services (a “Claim”) in accordance with one of the subsections below or as we and you otherwise agree in writing. Before resorting to these alternatives, we strongly encourage you to first contact us directly to seek a resolution by sending an email to info@careerdays.co.uk. We will consider reasonable requests to resolve the dispute through alternative dispute resolution procedures, such as mediation or arbitration, as alternatives to legal action. 

In the event of a claim for compensation, details of the claim must be received in writing by email or post no more than 30 days after the end date of your project. We will then respond to your claim within 30 working days upon receipt of your claim.

The above procedure exists to enable us to identify and deal with problems and complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible.Failure to follow the procedures above may compromise our ability to help you. we will not be responsible for problems or complaints not brought to our attention as above.

Every reasonable effort will be made to resolve any disciplinary matter before it becomes serious. However, we reserve the right to take appropriate action in the event of behaviour which would reasonably be expected to give offence to, fellow-students, educators or work colleagues.

Responsibility and other matters.

Please note that Career Days reserves the right to decline to accept any person as a student, or to require any participant to withdraw at any time, when such action is determined by the appropriate staff representative to be in the best interests of the health, safety, and general welfare of the programme or of the individual participant. In such a case, Career Days accepts no responsibility for any costs that you may incur.

Dates, schedules, programme details and cost are given in good faith, based on information available and in force at the time they are given and are subject to change and revision in the event of a change of circumstances. In the event that Career Days is unable to provide a suitable placement of the type requested, we will instead offer an alternative placement and will refund any difference between the price paid for the project placement and the price charged for the alternative placement in question.

Proper Law and Jurisdiction – The proper law of the contract between us is English Law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of or in connection with the contract.
